Online Learning

The College makes thoughtful use of technology in the teaching delivery process. IQAC had taken the initiative to create and upload video lectures of various courses and upload the same on the Patuck Youtube Channel. Also, the classrooms being with internet enabled audio- video facility, most of the teaching delivery takes place through presentations in the classroom and through e-resources from the internet. Since WhatsApp is installed by most students, class WhatsApp groups are formed important messages, assignments and notes (need based) would be sent to students through this mode.

However, the pandemic which struck us worldwide has forced all educational institutions to go online with respect to teaching and assessment, and our College has adapted to this new normal also very well.

Online Teaching delivery has taken place steadily and gradually, as mentioned below:

1. Teachers were facilitated to attend webinars which would be especially based on Capacity Building to teach, present and deliver lectures online

2. Deliberations were conducted to create a systematic process, such that there is uniformity and effectiveness across the programs

3. Official WhatsApp groups were created wherein only admins, namely the Teachers could send messages, so as to avoid clutter of messages

4. Google classrooms are created for each course and teaching notes, presentations, assignments, etc. are uploaded on the same after the conduct of each lecture.

5. Assessments of the same are also taken up through the Classroom.

6. Academic videos are created by the teachers and is uploaded on the PatuckYoutube Channel.

7. Teachers have learnt the art to make innovative videos and PowerPoint presentations, which help in engaging students during the online lectures which is devoid of eye contact

8. Teachers also make use of video content from the e-resources and internet to explain the concepts better and to garner the interest of the students.

9. The National Digital Library of India, an initiative of the Ministry of education, is subscribed to by the Library and it is also a part of the NDLI Club. Through this academicians and students can avail of e resourced study and reading material, which they can put to use for their teaching notes, examination notes and project work.

10. The Library created a E-resources Google Drive with easy accessibility for students and teachers, containing books, textbooks and journals relevant to the curriculum of the programs conducted at the College.

11. Co-curricular activities by each Department are conducted on a regular basis each semester. These activities continue to be conducted through the online platform as entry of students to the College is restricted.
