Academic Performance Meetings for Advanced Learners

College strongly upholds upgrading the academic performance of the students and takes initiative to offer additional classes and meetings with meritorious students. This is called as Academic Performance Meetings. This initiative commenced in the AY 2016-17 and continues since then. These meets have helped the students to strengthen their conceptual knowledge, helps them practice writing better and meaningful answers. It is an effort to improve their academic effectiveness.

Class teachers of the Third Year co-ordinate with the course teachers, on a timely basis and take assignments from them and coordinate the same with the students by conducting meets.During the meetings, the class teacher tries to understand the needs of the students, in case explanation is required for the assignments given, the teacher arranges for the same if need be.

The class teachers also take up follow-up with the students and ensure that the academic assignment is completed by them. The course teacher then evaluates the assignment submitted by the students. By this, the student is able to understand through his/her performance what is the lacunae and what needs to be focused on while studying and also how to improvise on the writing skills.

Records of each meeting are properly maintained by the class teacher.

Bridge Course & Remedial Course

Bridge Course in Mathematics – ‘CONNECTING TO SCHOOL MATHEMATICS’ was introduced the A.Y. 2019-20 for the First-Year students. This course was designed to provide students with a foundational introduction to the fundamental concepts in mathematics. After completing the course students should be able to understand the basic mathematical terms or concepts used at First Year Under-Graduate Courses.  

College conducts Remedial Lectures for the slow learners specially for the students appearing for ATKT examinations. Through these sessions course faculties revise the students on the important topics and guide them in order to clear the course in ATKT exam.
