What are the Programs offered at the College?
The College offers the B. Com., BMS and the B. Com. (Banking & Insurance) Under Graduate Programs.
Who can take admission?
For B.Com Program: The student’s eligibility for taking admission is that he/ she must have completed their Std. XII from a recognized Board.
For BMS and BBI Programs: The student’s eligibility for taking admission is that he/ she must have completed their Std. XII from a recognized Board and has secured a minimum of 45 per cent in the said examinations.
For Differently abled: the college infrastructure assists students/ visitors with any impairment, for instance limited ability to walk through individualized assistance and availability of wheelchair.
Where is the College situated?
The College is situated in the heart of the suburbs of Mumbai at Vakola, Santacruz East. It is in close proximity to the Western and the Central Railway lines and the Western Express highway.
How old is the College?
The College is under the aegis of the 89 year old Patuck Polytechnic Trust. The College which is one of the institutions under the Trust began operations in AY 2003 -04.
Is the College recognized by any regulatory body?
The College is affiliated to the University of Mumbai. The students will be awarded with the degree of Graduation by the University of Mumbai. All the rules and regulations of the University with respect to Academics are adhered to by the College.
Does the College have a ranking / accreditation?
The College has been accredited by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council), a body of UGC, since the past decade. The College is awarded the B++ Grade. The College also participates in the NIRF ranking each year.
What are the infrastructural facilities provided for students at the College?
- Classroom : Each Classroom is enabled with audio-video facilities for an enriched teaching process. Smart classrooms are available for enhanced and advanced level activities.
- Sports : Two playgrounds are on campus. One on the front side and the other on the hind side of the building. Sports equipment for indoor and outdoor games are available in the Sports room, which have been separately provided for Girls and Boys.
- Auditorium : There is a multi purpose auditorium for the conduct of cultural activities, conferences and other events.
- Conference Room with Audio-Video Facility : Seminars / Workshops / Expert Lectures are conducted at the conference room for the students/ teachers.
- Differently abled : Facilities of lift, special washrooms, wheel chair, ramp, scribe are available for the students.

- Google classrooms for each subject which provides for teaching notes and enables remote learning
- Computer Labs : The College has Two computer labs for students. The computer systems are of the latest versions of hardware and software, with internet facility
- WiFi enabled campus
- Email ids provided to students for College related correspondence
- MIS of student database for ready accessibility to student information when required
- Biometric Attendance : Students attendance is recorded against the ID Card provided to them and hence there can be no chances of lapses in attendance records of the students (since minimum attendance in lectures is a requirement by the University)
What are the Library facilities provided for students at the College?
Library has a good collection of textbooks, reference books, general books, magazines, journals, and newspapers. It provides facilities to the students such as borrowing facilities, Book Bank facilities, iOPAC facilities, Remote access of E-resources and Open Educational E-Resources. Computers and Tablets with Wi-Fi connectivity are provided to students for their project work. Kindle, CDs and DVDs are made available to students. A separate Reading room is available for group studies. Library also conducts various activities and visits to other libraries during the year.
What activities are undertaken by the College for the students' development?
Experiential learning : industrial visits, field visits, and nature trips.
Participative learning : in-classroom discussions and co-curricular activities like quizzes, elocution competition, debate competition, etc.
Research Activities: Available to students as early as their first year. Students may find research projects through individual enquiries with Teachers or the Research & Publication Cell. The Cell guides and links interested undergraduates in research to guiding Teachers and provides publication and paper presentation opportunities in Magazines, Journals and at Conferences.

Does the College provide Student Support Services?
Yes, we provide the following services:
- Scholarships: Students can apply for Governmental and Non-governmental scholarships. Information is regularly provided to students through Circulars.
- Parents-Teachers Association: Stakeholders including parents are regularly appraised on policies and procedures of the College.
Alumni Association: The Association is registered as Mitra Niketan Alumni Association. Alumni engagement takes place through the Association.
- Counselling & Guidance Cell: The Cell has a Professional Counsellor to help out with student’s difficulties by providing a helping hand.
Do the students get industry exposure at the College?
The College has associations with the Industry through MoUs signed for Corporate Collaboration and the Industry Advisory Board that it has set up.
Does the College provide Placement Assistance?
Yes, the College does provide placement assistance in the form of training and workshops to be prepared for the job selection process. It also provides for on campus and off campus placement opportunities. The Placement Cell of the College also assists students with internship opportunities.
How are the Teachers at the College?
Teachers are well qualified and are kept abreast with the latest in education through refreshers courses and faculty development programs. They counsel and mentor the students.
Are the students satisfied at the College?
The College adopts a regular feedback mechanism from its stakeholders including students. Students are happy with the teaching-learning process, the infrastructural facilities and the curricular and extracurricular activities undertaken at the College.
